We’re really happy with how our new deck turned out! We had several companies come out and give us bids, and Deck Science fell somewhere in the middle.

Our experience did get off to a bit of a rocky start, as our initial meeting was postponed twice. However, once we finally met with Phil, he really made a difference. He took the time to walk us through everything, breaking down the different options, materials, and what to expect throughout the process. Rather than just giving us a sales pitch, he made sure we understood what we were getting, answered all of our questions, and explained things in a way that was easy to follow. We never felt rushed or pressured into making a decision, which we really appreciated. That initial conversation with Phil was ultimately what sold us on choosing Deck Science over the other companies.

There were a few other hiccups along the way, and not everything went exactly as planned. That said, the issues were addressed and resolved, which we appreciated.

At the end of the day, we have a deck that we absolutely love, and that's what matters most. We had an overall great experience with Deck Science. David was very helpful, detailed, and thorough in the beginning, making sure we could achieve what we wanted from our project. Emily did an awesome job helping move everything through to completion, and Joe was also very helpful toward the end.

There were a few hiccups along the way, as well as some changes we made during the project, but the Deck Science team remained patient and professional throughout the entire process.    The Deck Science team and all members we got to work with were amazing from start to finish. We bought a new house last October, and the deck was an issue. After having a couple companies come out to quote us, Todd from Deck Science gave me a reasonable quote and worked with me to have the project fit our budget. After we got scheduled Emily kept us up to date throughout the entire process. She even helped provide concrete contractor options (which she did because she is an amazing human, not in her job description) and put our concerns at ease throughout the process. Then the guys that built the deck. Fantastic. Damon, Zach and the rest of the crew tore down the old deck, hauled all the debris away, and built the entire deck within about 6 days, with almost zero damage to our yard btw. Talked my through any questions I had, and even caught a major problem we had with our irrigation (we had an under ground leak that they noticed and helped troubleshoot the problem). He even brought the mobile showroom to my home, which made choosing the design and materials so much easier.    We had 5 deck contractors out to quote us on a new build (14x16) maintenance free with stairs. DeckScience wasn’t the cheapest, but weren’t the most expensive either. We appreciated the hour initial session where they showed us all the product options we could choose from. They have a wonderful warranty too. The team, yes team, kept us up-to-date on our project via an online site. From draftsman sending over the first draft of the deck, to revisions, city permit files, crew assignments, etc. - it was all communicated through the online site. On build day, the crew showed up bright and early. They cleaned up after themselves every evening before heading home. Having the deck space picked up was huge for us as we have dogs walking around who are curious, lol. Our deck was built in ~4 days. The entire team was professional. Micah spent over 2 hours with us during our initial consultation. He was transparent throughout the process and there was no pressure or “sales pitch” feeling at all. He genuinely wanted us to make the best decision for our home and our budget.
